Our College Govt. Arts & Commerce College, Tharad Dist- Banaskantha is Working under the Government of Gujarat Govt. Arts and Commerce College Tharad Dist- Banaskantha was established in June 2009 by the order of Hon’ble Commissioner of Higher Education, Gujarat. The first principle of this college was Dr. Yogesh S. Sharma who was earlier serving at M.N. College, Visnagar who had promoted and started his work at the college.

      Currently Dr. Himatbhai V. Sejaliya is the principal of the college. Earlier he Study classes were started in Gayatri Vidyalaya, Tharad on a rent. There are two streams in our college Arts and Commerce. In arts, our college is offering Sanskrit, Gujarati and History subjects are as a main subject while Advance Account is taught as a main subject in Commerce department.

      Since 2014 the college has relocated to it’s own grand building which is on Mitha- Bhabhar road, Dist – Banaskantha, Tharad (Gujarat) 385565. The building is furnished by the government on a large 10 acre land with all the modern facilities related to education.
